This file is a tool for managing directories in a CVS (Code Versioning) tree structure.

It is safe. After all the antivirus programs do false allerts most of the time for even programs that are safe in the common logic.

but i think you should care about being blacklisted, so this is some kind of alert.

I reported FP into KAspersky, but i guess it would be reasonable for ur team to reach others too.

this file is originated in the FreePascal compiler and it is not a product created from CT Team.

Thus blacklisting it it would cause a major problem in all installations of FreePascal (both direct and indirect ones).

I have in my PC installed a ton of development tools and everytime i perform a full scan my Antivirus program keeps alerting
me for things that i been using quite a lot (e.g. gcc toolchain, masm32 etc).

Blacklisting an .exe file may come easilly from inexperienced users but from a developer's point of view it should be done after
some research of the origins of the offended .exe file.

In our case anyway it is safe to trust this file as long as it came from the original installation media of CT Center.
And also thank you for noticing this.

But the C:\codetyphon\fpc\bin\i386-win32\rmcvsdir.exe is not !

They have the same size - but they are treated differently.
