Hi all,
Could anybody confirm that Code Typhon v8.21 or LAB v8.30 is working properly on macOS Sonoma v14.2.1 (on Intel)?

All the best for whole CT team in the New Year! You did a great job in 2023. I hope 2024 will bring native arm64 support on macOS :)

Yes Sir
LAB CodeTyphon 8.31 revision 008270 (unreleased) work OK on MacOS 14.2.1 with XCode 15.1

We found the problem in XCode 15.x LD, after 2 months with tests

More after LAB CodeTyphon 8.31 revision 008270 release, ETA: about 10 days I hope...

Screens from MacOS and TyphonIDE, build before 2 hours for LAB tests...

For more please look here

Our Plan for firsts 2024 months

For Arm our priority is the new Raspberry Pi 5 (with 8Gbytes RAM),
CT support Raspberry Pi OS arm32 and arm64, but we want to test and:
-Fedora 39 for Arm64 and
-Windows 11 for Arm64, we must build some binutils and libraries.

After CT 8.31 final release (ETA 25-28-01-2024 if ALL are OK), we will
try to found and a Mac mini.

Hi Sternas,
Thank you for the quick update and confirmation of your plans for the near future.

I'm waiting for the rev. 008270, final release 8.31 and news about arm64.

I thought about upgrading my mac to Sonoma finally, but I will refrain as there is XCode problem. Waiting for the details...

Have a great New Year's Eve :)

Best regards,

Hi Sternas,
As  new v8.30 was released (thank you for that!) I would like to ask about M1/M2/M3 Silicon architecture native support.
Also you mentioned that there is some XCode v15 problem and you will provide more info after release new version. How about this? Could you please provide more details? I still consider upgrade to Sonoma but I'm afraid the problems with CT...

Yes.
Latest CodeTyphon 8.30 works OK on the latest MacOS 14.3.1 (AMD/Intel CPU) with the latest Xcode 15.2.

A Screen (now) from our daily tests.
LAB CT 8.40, has 98% the same code with CT 8.30.

The problem was that the new linker of XCode v15.x need more parameters, to build correct FreePascal and all TyphonIDE executables.

For ARM64 MacOS we don't have M1/M2/M3 Silicon hardware in our LAB.
We will try to found one...

Hi Sternas,
Thank you for the confirmation. I hope you will finally find some Apple Silicon hardware.

Also in the mean time - could you please verify and fix the issue with cross compilation X86_64 -> AARCH64:
