Hi to all, and thanks In advance for the help.

I've tried to install CodeTyphon versions 2.90 and 2.80 and I get the same error after I try to clean and rebuild everything:

/usr/lib/codetyphon/lazarus/ide/lazarus.pp(241,1) Error: Can't call the resource compiler "/usr/lib/codetyphon/fpc/bin/x86_64-linux/fpcres", switching to external mode

The same error also appear if I try to rebuild Lazarus or Clean and Build Lazarus.

I tryed different things without success. That was a clean machine with no previous Lazarus or FPC installs. And Yes, I installed the librararies. What is wrong.

Best regards,

Grasshopper

Well, check for what's instaler want from you - "/usr/lib/codetyphon/fpc/bin/x86_64-linux/fpcres" :)
Is it there? If it is, then maybe you haven't acess to it? Chmod it then. I don't have 10.04 right now, but 12.04+2.8 feels allright. As for 2.9 - after all my troubles under XP (assuming that I develop my project under both OS and the sources used under Win are the very same, used under Lin) I'll wait intil 3.0 or later if I should.

Well,

I check

The I run again codetyphon as root (the GUI) and asked to clean and rebuild the Lazarus. Small ide builds ok but when I get to the bigide I get, all the way towards the end, the error bellow:

lazarus.pp(241,1) Error: Can't call the resource compiler "/usr/lib/codetyphon/fpc/bin/x86_64-linux/fpcres", switching to external mode

Then, once is over I get a Error saying that the BIGIDE was not build.

That problem occours in both 2.90 and 2.80. And just to be sure, I did install the libraries again.

So, what else can it be?

Thanks,

Grasshopper

I was about to give up when I had the insight to put one extra Giga Byte of memory on the PC, since it had originally 2GB, and it worked....

Seems to be a memory problem.... To big to be done in 1GB!

Is that a bug or a feature?

Kind regards to all.

Grasshopper.

May I ask why are you have 64 system for just 1 (now 2) Gb of RAM?
With that ammount of it a 32 system would run faster...

I use 4 Gb on 64 bit. I have this problem 3 days ago with CT 4.80 after update openSUSE. Next, I update CT, but problem don't go out.
Prior to this problem was not!
And RAM has nothing to do with it.
