Hello Gurus !

I have wasted already several days trying to get CT installed on my win10 computer.
The install script extracts fine but when it comes to building the IDE or codetyphon 5.6
it will throw a message box up that says application rm.exe could not start.
That is probably in the part then the unused files should get deleted.

Anyone has an idea ? Yes, I run it in admin mode and also tried to give rm.exe admin rights,
but no success.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Peter

Thanks Sir
please check in your PC OS "Path" for directories with rm.exe,
other than CT rm.exe, locate at:
C:\codetyphon\fpc\fpc32\bin\i386-win32\ or
C:\codetyphon\fpc\fpc64\bin\x86_64-win64\

Always you can "Remove and Build ALL" with CTCenter
and attach here (zip first) the action log file info

Thank you dear Sternas Stephanos.

I do not think it relates to the path statement, but i have inserted it on top of the environmental
variables. See the full path listing below.

If i open an admin command window and paste the error causing line , it works without
any error. Therefore i think it is related to the install script perhaps.

PATH=C:\codetyphon\fpc\fpc64\bin\x86_64-win64\;C:\WinAVR-20100110\bin;C:\WinAVR-20100110\utils\bin;C:\WinAVR\bin;C:\WinAVR\utils\bin;C:\ProgramDa
ta\Oracle\Java\javapath;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\WINDOWS\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86
)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static;C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG\pub;C:\MinGW64\bin;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\TypeScript\1.0\;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Tools\Binn\;C:\CooCox\CoIDE_V2Beta\bin;C:\Program
Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Windows Performance Toolkit\;C:\FPC\
2.6.4\bin\i386-Win32

The first trouble causing line is
C:/codetyphon/fpc/fpc32/bin/i386-win32/rm.exe -f *.o *.ppu *.rst *.s *.a *.dll *.ppl
If that command is pasted in another admin command window it executes without any error message.
As to a path problem, since the command is written i.e. C:/codetyphon/fpc/fpc32/bin/i386-win32/rm.exe it will point to the proper dir regardless of the
path statement in the environmental vars I assume.

I have attached a picture from the error message and the log as you suggested.
I hope that helps to find the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your help.

Cheers

Sir
I think, the problem is
C:\FPC\2.6.4\bin\i386-Win32

CodeTyphon use The latest SVN trunk FPC with a lot of Modifications
We don't test CodeTyphon with FPC 2.6.4, it's very old compiler

My suggestions:
a)-Remove FPC directory from your OS "Path" or
b)-Remove FPC from your PC

Always, on windows you must run, "Install" and "Setup" CT scripts "as Anministarator" info
