I am not sure if this is going to be any help for you but why not give it a try?

Do these steps:

1)Manually DELETE the "c:\lazarus" and "c:\pp" directories.
2)Download a FRESH copy of CodeTyphoon (if you don't have the original "CodeTyphon 1.20.zip" file).
3)Extract it in your "C:\" path in a folder with NO spaces (e.g. C:\CodeTyphoon).
4)Run the CodeTyphoon center of your system architecture (either the win64 or the win32).
5)Build ONLY the FreePascal compiler
6)IF FreePascal compiler built is done without errors THEN build Lazarus IDE.

This is the procedure i do EVERY time a new CodeTyphoon release is out. Never failed me. I hope this will
also work for you.

I am logged in as an Administrator.
Sorry, I have installed another version of 32 bit Lazarus which does not work correctly, but I forgot about it.
..........
So:
1. I did remove the old's version of Lazarus folder;
2. I did remove the folder: C:\Users\emo\AppData\Local\lazarus
3. I did clean Windows-Registry using 2 programs: CCleaner and 360Amigo;
Then I did try to Install CodeTyphon : Remove and Build All (FPC + Lazarus) again whitout sucess ;)

Hello everyone,

I just installed Ubuntu last Codetyphon 64 and 64 home edition windows 7, has given me a headache but at last I've got, who cares expose my case:

Ubuntu 11.04 on VMWare: not create executable Lazarus, I did not realize that the problem was the memory allocated to the virtual machine, put it in 1024 and the problem was solved by installing the console from the libraries of the system first and then using the option to "Remove and build All".

Windows 7 home edition: the trouble was that bat I tried to run the installation with administrator permissions, but then I skipped the error that was not a folder, so if the normal throwing is not installed properly, I generated the executables. The solution, go into "Control Panel", go to "User Accounts", go to "Change Settings for User Account Control," lowering the bar here butt. Then make sure the user has administrator profile. At this point you can run as administrator, the file "setup.bat" without the initial error now appear.

I hope it helps someone

Hello there!
I've been absent for some time, but 2.20 release make me post here again.
The trouble it's not installing.
Removal, admin rights, total cleanup and reboot all of them did nothing to help me out.
IDE building process interrupts at some unit used by fclaz.pp unit...
That unit gave me a lot of troubles back then when I tried to compile my project on Ubuntu.
The trouble was gone when I turn on Automatic OS recognition and leave CPU architecture field blank.
I believe this coul help me to install CT 2.2 on Win XP Prof SP3.
But where should I change that?
Could anyone tell me where's the right *.bat file could be found and what's it's name?
If there another solution to fix that - please, let me know.

Under Ubuntu 10.10 CT 2.2 installation is a piece of cake...
So are there anyone who managd to install that under Win XP 32 bit with SP3 (Home Edition or Pro - I don't really care).
The fact is that after trying to install CT 2.2 I could not install even CT 1.6 (which was my working version, since later releases had and still have some troubles with glscene).

Could anyone tell me how to remove all fpc and lazarus files remained after cleanup via "setup.bat"?

Maybe some sort of script, or folder names, cause I've deleted all fpc and lazarus related things in the registry and that did nothing to fix the problem...

As for glscene... Lazarus is still crashing, at least under ubuntu (since I couldn't install it under Win), when I add GLSceneViewer on the form. The same thing happens when I open a project which has that cpomponent on the form.

I haven't try the GLBitmapFont yet, but in 2.1 it was broken too...

I can not install CodeTyphon on Windows 7 64 bit 9 years 8 months ago #5858

Just wanted to add my two bits to this topic. I was having a very similar problem and tried every idea on this site, that I could find, to solve the problem. CodeTyphon IDE would not install on two machines that I own, both having Windows 7 64 bit. As I read I found one person who mentioned that updating "make.exe" for both 32 and 64 bit builds solved their problem. A light bulb went on in my mind, and I realized that I had Cygwin version 2.831 installed on both systems. That's an older version from early in 2013, so I wondered if that might be the problem. I check my PATH env variable and guess what? There was reference to Cywin's bin dir. I removed that, removed CodeTyphon, and then reinstalled. That did the trick. Ya!!!

Hope this helps someone. To the person that mentioned the problem they had with "make.exe", THANK YOU!

Rich
