For 5.30, simply run CT Center (binCenter/your_os_version/CodeTyphon) with the proper rights.
It is possible even without previous full install
Then in menu CodeTyphon, select Update Manager, and choose to download Lab Dev version
But it will not help your problem of recognition of distro (btw the script uses cat /etc/*-release, not cat /etc/issue)
Be sure to follow the advices from the wiki
