FWIW I have an existing Lazarus 1.2 version installed. I've tried to rename C:\Lazarus to C:\-Lazarus but this doesn't solves my problem.

Dear Sternas,

I'm running a Win 7 SP1 Pro 64 bit OS.
Renaming current Lazarus installation folder isn't enough ? If so, I'll test this later.

Renaming the old CT folder is what I always do, just for quick fallback solution. :)
And it works, does never cause issues.

But with 4.8 I have a silly problem with GData AV software: a false positive, see picture. (It's a company computer, so I can not disable or exchange AV there).

My suggestion:
build CT with CTCenter, "Remove and build All"
zip the "action log" ( info ) and post it here

There is an issue when your profile name has non ascii characters. My profile was "C:\Users\Stéphane"
