libVLC and libVLCcore are licensed under LGPL. This means that those libraries can be used even in commercial closed source software. Your only obligation is to publish any parts of VLC itself that you changed. If you do not change anything, you do not need to publish your code.

Based on this, any project that use libVLC can be published under any licence.

PasLibVlc is licensed as GLP, but can also be licensed as commercial. This means that any project made with this library have to be GLP unless you obtain a commercial licence in which case you can use it even in commercial projects.

I hope this helped.

Thanks Sir
please, but can give an explanations for this:
from PasLibVlcPlayerUnit.pas
* Any non-GPL usage of this software or parts of this software is strictly
 * forbidden.
 *
 * The "appropriate copyright message" mentioned in section 2c of the GPLv2
 * must read: "Code from FAAD2 is copyright (c) Nero AG, www.nero.com"
 *
 * Commercial non-GPL licensing of this software is possible.
 * please contact  aaaaaaaa.aaaaa.aa

I think it would be best to contact author of PasLibVlc to clarify this.

The next CT ver 4.8 will not have PasLibVlc, this is our final decision .
