I do always comment the strip block from 'typhonstart' project before rebuilding the IDE, THEN I CAN DEEP debug my apps.
I think it would be a great PLUS (for professional developpers) to have the choice between "debugable or not IDE, in the respect of GPL; LGPL, MPL etc... licenses, without the need to derehack typhonstart/startlazarus each release.
Regards.

Sir
first of all, "debugable" Big Typhon IDE is a large file.
2) "debugable" has nothing to do with GPL; LGPL, MPL etc... licenses
3) Why you can't DEEP debug your app with NO "debugable" IDE ?

it is pretty simple to understand =
1) I am a builder and a learner... meaning, at the same time I write code, I use it to learn from other codes called
2) upon what I read while debug, I can tell the authors, even make my own patches and contribute
3) nowadays with 1To hard drive even on laptops what means a 'large' file? hahahahahahahaha
that are the principal reasons, for why I do always bypass the strip stage and want to be responsible if I debug (and learn) or not from code
P.S. I also have a lazarus installation, and I have the choice, when rebuilding IDE, to keep or not '-g-' option
to me, that is a great choice
